Midwifery Model of Care (MMoC)

Midwives honor pregnancy and birth as normal life events, providing families with individualized care, counseling, and education to help create a better birth experience. The physical, physiological, and social well-being of the birthing person is monitored throughout the childbearing cycle and the use of interventions is minimize. The MMoC is a pathway for improving outcomes and eliminating inequities for childbearing persons and babies.
